Bill Covington and Clete Baltis are the co-chairs of the Community Service committee.

Damariscotta-Newcastle Rotarians are responsible for many hours of service provided for annual activities throughout the community. Some of these are to assist at community events such as;  the Lincoln Home Founders Day, the Miles Memorial Hospital Garden Tour, the Miles Memorial Hospital Rummage sale, and the CLC YMCA craft show. The members do bell ringing for the Salvation Army and annually do clean up of the Route One overlook and at the YMCA, assisted at the Carpenter’s Boat Shop and participated with winterization efforts through the Community Housing Improvement program (C.H.I.P.). One of the most fun activities is the distribution of dictionaries to local elementary school children.
